Upon entering the Gallery you will encounter the Hall of Colossus, named after its large-scale sculptures you will encounter the famous Rape of the Sabines by Giambologna and whilst you continue strolling down the long corridor your attention will be soon drawn towards the iconic statue of David, situated at the end under a domed skylight. With a small group, your tour guide will be able to smoothly unveil details and particularities about the impressive sculpture from every angle. Be astonished by the anatomical precision used by Michelangelo as this masterpiece shows the Renaissance artist’s knowledge of the human body, clearly visible by the presence of musculature, veins, and lifelike posture of the statue. A Journey Through Gothic Masterpieces and Musical Marvels

Your Tour Guide will then lead you through the Gallery into a dedicated section of paintings including the Florentine Gothic art section. Here you will be captivated by masterpieces created by worldwide known artists such as Giotto, Lorenzo Monaco,and Bernardo Daddi, showcasing the transition from medieval to Renaissance art. The last portion of this tour will be dedicated to the Museum of Musical Instruments, a section truly appreciated by visitors, offering an unusual sight to discover. This section is also home to the oldest surviving upright piano and a Stradivarius violin, offering a unique glimpse into the history of music.
